Bubble Shooter: how a round works

Use a short break to learn the rhythm of Bubble Shooter. Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Look at what changes after your first action. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.

Original hexagonal matching board and bouncing projectiles.

Take a closer look while playing

When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your objective

Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. The example below illustrates a decision.

Making your moves

  1. Aim and fire.
  2. Attach bubbles to the cluster.
  3. Groups of three or more equal colours disappear.
  4. Floating groups drop; five misses lower the ceiling.

Your inputs

Pointer/touch aim, angle controls and Fire. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Use one clear input at a time.

A useful example

Removing one support can drop a larger mixed-colour group below it. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Take a moment to compare.

Keep this in mind

Contact with a different colour is not a match. Compare the situation with the worked example. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
